Full Buckets

Tom Rath and Mary Reckmeyer wrote #1 New York Times Bestseller with the book, How Full is Your Bucket For Kids. The story reveals the concept that we all have an invisible bucket that goes with us everywhere. Events and interactions happen that can fill water into our bucket or drain the water from our buckets. When we operate with an empty bucket it often doesn’t go well internally for us and almost by default we can look at the world through a lens that says “the glass is half empty.”
Take some time to reflect on your own bucket. What interactions and practices allow you to fill “full”? What interactions or activities take away from the water in your bucket? Sioux Falls Psychological Services encourages you to prioritize a balance in your life that allows you time and space to be filled as well as give to others.
If you'd like to talk with someone about the balance and priorities in your life, please give us a call. We're here to help.
