Cruise Control

Why is it that so many of us are in a hurry? Even though we can drive 80 miles per hour on South Dakota interstates, many of us still have a desire to set our cruise just a bit over the limit. It seems that so often we are in such a hurry to get from one event to the other that we pay no attention to what occurs along the way. We over book and over commit then complain that there just is not enough time in the day.
Slowing down often feels impossible during this busy time of life, however we benefit when we are able to take time and discern what is truly important. Many times people find that their relationships land at the top of the list. Slowing down and being present with people that you care about is a gift for both parties. If an important relationship has been lost, cut off or damaged, there is benefit in exploring that pain as you move forward.
As you cruise this busy season, notice your own awareness of your surroundings. Notice the sights, the smells and the feelings your present environment offers you. Appreciate what is in front of you in the present moment, even if it is something challenging. We are available to join you on your journey, call 605-334-2696 to schedule an appointment.
