2014 - a good year to develop your strengths
Tuesday, December 31st, 2013
Sometimes we may find ourselves reflecting on only the difficult things and we may become focused on what we want to change about ourselves. While this can be helpful in creating new or healthier habits, I suggest you not stop there. It is also beneficial to recognize and celebrate your strengths. And think about ways to expand the strengths you have. This will improve your experience of life, job, and relationships.
Think about what you are successful at. And think about those things you find personally energizing. When you find time to focus on things you do well and enjoy, you may discover that you have more energy and even interest in doing those things/tasks that otherwise tend to sap your energy.
This year, if you are one of those people who likes to set some resolutions and goals for the New Year, consider how you can focus more on your strengths and become even stronger. Here’s to the hope that 2014 will be a great year of growth and good relationships.
